Who this course is for

This course is designed for

  • Brand new developers in the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Junior developers with 1-2 years of experience max
  • Salesforce administrators transitioning to become developers

This course is one of the first of its kind. Designed to take you from absolutely zero knowledge to a very competent developer in the Salesforce ecosystem, but more importantly, one that is able to compete in this new AI centric ecosystem. By the end of the course you will be well equipped to ace your PD1 cert, ace a typical Salesforce developer interview, understand how to effectively utilize AI tools when developing on the platform, and most important of all, build extremely high quality code in whatever org you work in, no matter how big or small that org may be!

Curriculum

What you'll learn

Sixteen weeks that take you from writing your first trigger to shipping production-quality code the way real Salesforce teams do it.

Apex

The core of the course. Together we'll learn how to create triggers and apex classes and learn about bulkification, governor limits, asynchronous processing, popular frameworks, and test classes. You'll learn how to write excellent code that scales with your business.

Git and Github

Branching, merging, resolving conflicts, and writing a commit history somebody else can actually read. You'll never have to worry about making a change you can't revert ever again.

SOQL and SOSL

You'll learn when and why to use both SOQL and SOSL when writing your code and how to write the most performant queries possible for any given situation.

IDEs

Getting properly set up in VS Code with the Salesforce Extension Pack and the CLI as well as how to leverage IntelliJ if you'd prefer to, so you can develop locally and deploy with confidence instead of editing in the browser.

AI tools

How to actually use AI coding assistants on the Salesforce platform - where they accelerate you, where they quietly introduce bugs, and how to review what they produce. Additionally the course will come with reusable markdown prompts and skills you can take with you wherever you go next.

Format

How the cohort runs

Live every Monday from 8pm-10pm EST

Sixteen weeks of live, virtual, in-person instruction. Every session is recorded, so if you cannot make it live you never fall behind.

A Discord channel for the cohort

Ask me questions 24/7 and collaborate with the other students in your cohort. Getting unstuck should take minutes, not a week until the next class.

Weekly homework, graded

Real assignments every week, graded by me with written instructor feedback. You will know exactly what you got right, what to fix, and most important, why it needs to be fixed.

One-on-one code reviews

Together you and I will review your code so that you learn faster and are comfortable with code reviews in a real on the job situation. This is one of the fastest ways to improve, and it is the thing self-taught developers almost never get.

Resume reviews and prep

We work on your resume and how you present your experience, so the skills you build in the cohort actually turn into interviews.

Compensation

Developer versus administrator pay

Moving from the admin side into development is one of the clearest pay jumps in the Salesforce ecosystem. Developers out-earn comparable administrators at every level, and the gap widens with experience.

  • Salesforce Developer $93K - $175K
    Averaging around $101K, US
  • Salesforce Administrator $81K - $110K
    Averaging around $98K, US

A Salesforce developer typically out-earns a comparable administrator by roughly $15,000 to $40,000 at every level of seniority.

Figures are US ranges compiled from public 2026 Salesforce salary guides. Compensation varies significantly by region, years of experience, industry, and employer. Sources: Salesforce Ben - Architect Salary Guide 2026 · Salesforce Ben - Admin Salary Guide 2026 · KORE1 - Developer Salary Guide 2026
