Terms of Service

These terms govern the purchase of our paid training programs. Our free tutorials, blog and YouTube content are not covered by the enrolment and payment sections, though the disclaimers still apply.

Effective 8 August 2026 Last updated 10 August 2026

1. Who we are

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Coding With The Force Inc, a Missouri corporation ("Coding With The Force", "we", "us"), registered at 200 NE Missouri Rd, Suite 200 #2021, Lee's Summit, MO 64086, USA.

They govern your purchase of and participation in our paid training programs (each a "Course"). By purchasing a Course you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not purchase.

Our free content — the blog, YouTube channel and public tutorials — is offered as-is and is not covered by the enrolment, payment or refund provisions below, although sections 9 to 15 still apply to it.

Questions about these Terms: support@codingwiththeforce.com

2. The Courses

We currently offer two Courses. What is included in each is described on its product page at the time of purchase, and those descriptions form part of these Terms.

2.1 Salesforce Apex Developer Course — $2,000 USD

A sixteen-week live cohort covering Apex, SOQL and SOSL, Git and GitHub, IDE setup, and the use of AI coding assistants on the Salesforce platform. It includes:

  • Live virtual instruction, currently Mondays 8:00–10:00 PM Eastern Time, for sixteen weeks
  • Recordings of each live session
  • Access to a Discord channel for your cohort
  • Weekly homework assignments, graded with written instructor feedback
  • One-on-one code reviews
  • Resume review and interview preparation
  • Reusable prompt and skill files for AI coding assistants

2.2 Salesforce CTA Board Coaching — $3,000 USD

A personalised program preparing you for the Salesforce Architect Review Board. It includes:

  • 20 hours of one-on-one time with Matt Gerry, scheduled around your availability
  • A personalised study plan
  • A written study and strategy guide
  • Our worked solutions to more than a dozen publicly available mock CTA scenarios
  • Lucidchart templates
  • Discord access

Prerequisites. The Salesforce Architect Review Board requires you to hold both the Salesforce Certified Application Architect and Salesforce Certified System Architect credentials before you may register with Salesforce. This Course assumes you already hold them, or are close to holding them, and assumes substantial prior experience on the Salesforce platform. We do not verify your prerequisites, and holding them is your responsibility. Purchasing this Course does not register you for any Salesforce exam.

2.3 Changes to a Course

We may make reasonable changes to Course content, schedule or delivery — for example moving a session, or updating material to reflect changes to the Salesforce platform. If we make a material adverse change to a Course you have paid for but not yet started, you may cancel for a full refund under section 5.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract, and you must provide accurate enrolment and billing information.

Enrolment is personal to you. You may not share, resell, transfer or assign your place in a Course, your Discord access, or your account, except as expressly permitted in section 7.3.

4. Payment

Prices are stated in US dollars and are payable in full at enrolment. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card details. Your payment is also subject to Stripe's terms.

You are responsible for any taxes, duties, currency conversion charges or bank fees that apply to your purchase and are not collected at checkout.

If a payment is reversed, disputed or fails after enrolment, we may suspend your access until the amount is settled.

5. Refunds and cancellation

This section matters. Please read it before you pay.

5.1 Full refund before the Course starts

You may cancel and receive a full refund at any time before your Course starts, as defined in section 5.2. Email support@codingwiththeforce.com to cancel. Refunds go back to your original payment method, normally within ten business days.

5.2 When a Course "starts"

CourseStarts when
Apex Developer Course The posted start date of your cohort — the date of its first scheduled live session.
CTA Board Coaching The earlier of (a) the start of your first scheduled one-on-one session, or (b) the moment we send you the study guide, mock scenario solutions or Lucidchart templates.

CTA Board Coaching has no fixed class date, and its written materials are a substantial part of its value and cannot be returned once delivered — hence the second trigger. We will tell you in writing when your Course has started.

5.3 After a Course starts, all sales are final

Once your Course has started as defined above, all sales are final and no refunds are given, in whole or in part. This applies regardless of how many sessions you attend, how many of the 20 CTA hours you use, or whether you complete the Course.

A live cohort seat and reserved one-on-one time cannot be resold once a program is under way, and delivered written materials cannot be returned.

Nothing in this section limits any right you have under section 5.4 or under mandatory consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

5.4 Customers outside the United States

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you normally have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason.

That right is lost for services once we have begun performing them with your express prior consent, and for digital content once its supply has begun with your express prior consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose the right.

Accordingly: by starting your Course, attending a session, or downloading or accessing any Course materials before the 14-day period has expired, you expressly request that we begin performance immediately and acknowledge that you will lose your right to withdraw. If you would prefer to keep your withdrawal right, do not access any Course material until the 14 days have passed.

If you are a consumer elsewhere and your local law gives you rights that cannot be excluded by contract, those rights apply and are unaffected by section 5.3.

5.5 Chargebacks

If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us first — we will normally resolve it faster than your bank can. Initiating a chargeback for a Course you have started, in circumstances where section 5.3 applies, is a breach of these Terms, and we may suspend your access and recover our reasonable costs.

5.6 If we cancel

If we cancel a cohort before it starts, or cannot deliver a Course you have paid for, you will receive a full refund. That is our entire liability in that situation, subject to section 14.

6. Your place, and getting the most out of it

We provide instruction, materials, feedback and access. You are responsible for your own learning, for completing assignments, for attending sessions you have scheduled, and for your own Salesforce practice environment (for example a free Developer Edition org). We do not provide Salesforce licences.

7. Scheduling, access windows and transfers

7.1 CTA Board Coaching — the 20 hours

  • The 20 hours are booked by mutual agreement around both parties' availability.
  • Unused hours expire 24 months after the date of purchase and are not refundable or transferable after that.
  • Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice, and no-shows, are deducted from your 20 hours. We apply this reasonably and will not deduct for a genuine emergency.
  • If we cancel or reschedule a session at short notice, no hours are deducted.

7.2 Apex Developer Course — attendance

Live sessions are recorded and made available to your cohort, so missing one does not mean falling behind. We do not re-deliver missed sessions individually.

7.3 Transferring a cohort seat

If your circumstances change, you may transfer your seat to the next scheduled cohort once, at no charge, provided you request it in writing before the fourth live session of your current cohort. A transferred seat is not refundable and cannot be transferred a second time.

8. Discord and community conduct

Discord access is provided for the duration of your Course and for a reasonable period afterwards, at our discretion.

"24/7 Discord access" means you can post at any time. It is not a guarantee of a response at any particular time, or within any particular period. We aim to respond promptly during normal working hours, US Central Time.

You agree not to:

  • harass, abuse or discriminate against anyone;
  • share other participants' questions, code or personal information outside the community;
  • post Course materials or recordings outside the community; or
  • use the community to advertise or recruit.

We may remove content and suspend or remove access for conduct that breaches this section.

9. Course materials and intellectual property

All Course materials — including recordings, slides, written guides, mock scenario solutions, Lucidchart templates, homework assignments, prompt and skill files, and written feedback — are owned by Coding With The Force Inc or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them for your own learning, for as long as these Terms are in effect.

You may not:

  • copy, republish, sell, sublicense or otherwise distribute the materials;
  • share your access credentials;
  • record, screenshot or re-transmit live sessions;
  • upload materials to any public repository, file-sharing service, or AI training corpus; or
  • use the materials to build or deliver a competing training product.

You keep ownership of the code and work you produce during a Course. You grant us a limited licence to review it, comment on it, and reference it anonymously for teaching purposes.

10. Recording of live sessions

Live sessions are recorded so participants can catch up. By attending, you consent to being recorded, including your voice, video and anything you share on screen. If you would prefer not to appear, keep your camera and microphone off and use the text chat.

Recordings are shared only with your cohort and are covered by section 9.

11. No guarantee of results

We provide training. We do not guarantee any particular outcome.

Specifically, we do not guarantee that you will:

  • pass the Salesforce Architect Review Board or any Salesforce certification exam;
  • be permitted to register for any exam;
  • obtain employment, a promotion or a contract; or
  • achieve any particular level of income.

The Architect Review Board is a demanding exam with a low pass rate. Your result depends overwhelmingly on your own experience, preparation and performance on the day.

Earnings and salary information. Any salary or compensation figures shown on our site are third-party market data provided for general context. They are not a promise, projection or representation of what you will earn. Individual results vary enormously by region, experience, industry and employer.

12. Salesforce certifications, trademarks and exam confidentiality

12.1 No affiliation with Salesforce

Coding With The Force Inc is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or authorised by Salesforce, Inc.

"Salesforce", "Apex", "Lightning Web Components", "Certified Technical Architect", "CTA" and related names and logos are trademarks of Salesforce, Inc. They are used here purely descriptively, to identify the platform and credentials the training relates to. No claim is made to them.

Our Courses are not official Salesforce training, and completing one does not confer any Salesforce credential.

12.2 Exam confidentiality

Salesforce's certification agreements bind credential holders to keep exam content confidential. We take that seriously, and so must you.

  • We do not provide, and will never provide, actual exam questions, actual Review Board scenarios, judges' names, or any other confidential exam content.
  • Matt Gerry cannot and will not discuss the content of his own Architect Review Board exam, or who his judges were.
  • All scenarios used in the Course are publicly available mock scenarios, or scenarios we have written ourselves.
  • You agree not to ask us for confidential exam content, and not to share any with us or with other participants. Doing so may cost you your Salesforce credentials, and we may remove you from the Course without a refund.

If you believe material shared in the Course is confidential exam content, tell us immediately and we will remove it.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, without a refund, if you materially breach these Terms — in particular sections 8, 9 or 12.

You may stop participating at any time. Doing so does not entitle you to a refund except as set out in section 5.

Sections 9, 11, 12, 14, 15 and 18 survive termination.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Courses and materials are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Our guidance is general educational content. It is not professional advice for your specific Salesforce implementation, and we are not responsible for how you apply it. Do not run Course code against a production org without your own review and testing.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or any Course is limited to the amount you actually paid us for that Course.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost business opportunity, or exam fees, however caused.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, this section does not affect your statutory rights.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Coding With The Force Inc, its officers and contractors from any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the materials, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

16. Privacy

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

16.1 Emails about your Course

When you buy a Course we add your name and email to Kit, our email provider, and mark you as a buyer of that Course. That is how we send you joining instructions, the schedule, session links, recordings and announcements about the Course you paid for. It is part of delivering the Course you bought, so it is not something you opt into separately.

It does not put you on a marketing list. Newsletters, launch announcements and offers go only to people who signed up for them, and every one of those carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

If you would rather not receive Course email, email support@codingwiththeforce.com and we will stop it. That includes the joining instructions and the schedule, so you would need to get those from us another way.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The version in force for your purchase is the version published when you paid, and we will not apply a later change retroactively to reduce rights you already have. Material changes are posted here with a new "Last updated" date.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.

Talk to us first. If something goes wrong, email support@codingwiththeforce.com. Most problems are resolved quickly this way, and we ask that you give us 30 days to put things right before starting formal proceedings.

If that fails, you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Jackson County, Missouri.

If you are a consumer outside the United States, this section does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings there where local law gives you that right.

19. General

These Terms, together with the product page description of your Course, are the entire agreement between us and supersede any prior discussion.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues in force.

Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to a successor to our business.

Questions before you buy? Email support@codingwiththeforce.com. We would much rather answer a question up front than process a dispute later.
